Last night was International Pub Night, the consistent highlight of my week, and also April Fool's Day, of course. I was talking to some French guys and they have the most marvelous April Fool's tradition I have ever heard of... It is called Poisson d'Avril, which means, literally, April's Fish. Instead of office pranks and practical jokes, they cut out paper fish and try to stick them to each other's backs without the other person knowing. I think this is much more funny than sewing someone's underwear together or telling your boyfriend you're pregnant, so perhaps I will adopt the tradition myself!
